Scanning and pressing run locally. Artwork search uses album and artist names; Identify sends selected music metadata and locally calculated fingerprints. Paid press reporting sends your license key and per-album identifiers. Optional privacy setup uses a secret created on your Mac for new identifiers; older or unenrolled apps can still send legacy identifiers derived from your license key. No Keynell account required.
