Private Press 1.6.0
Manual installation required from 1.4.1 or earlier. The older app's “Update Now” cannot install this release because its updater has a defect. Download the latest DMG, quit Private Press, open the DMG, and drag Private Press to Applications, replacing the existing app. Then launch Private Press from Applications. Your settings, collection data, Keychain entries, and backups stay in place.
More private licensing, with the key you already have
- Private Press 1.6.0 introduces optional privacy setup that uses new private album identifiers for licensing. A secret created on your Mac means the licensing service cannot calculate these identifiers from your license details. Your existing key and entitlement stay the same.
Recovery you control
- Save a personal recovery code to restore the same private setup on another Mac. If every copy is lost, verify ownership through your registered email to start a fresh setup while keeping your license and remaining credits.
Before you reset
- A reset cannot restore earlier private album history. For credit-based licenses, a previously free repeat press may cost a credit again; the app asks you to acknowledge this before proceeding.
