VERSION 1.7.0
Private Press 1.7.0
Bring incoming music into your folder collection with Identify → Review → Press & File. Check the edition, changes and destination before filing.
- New Arrivals for Pro: Manually choose incoming files or folders and a destination folder collection. Identify the album, review artwork, metadata, filenames and destination, then choose Press & File. Changes are applied to copies, leaving intake originals in place.
- Keep physical editions distinct: Separate physical editions stay separate even when their album tags match. Review disc and track grouping, and copy companion files with the album. Preserve original names or edit album and track templates, then preview the resulting paths before approval. Cue and playlist references are not rewritten; review warnings or preserve the original filenames and layout.
- File as-is by choice: Copy audio and companions without rewriting tags or artwork. File as-is is a deliberate choice, never an automatic fallback when pressing cannot proceed.
- Compare before replacing: Compare the edition and all tracks alongside available codec, bitrate, sample rate and bit depth when considering a lossy-to-lossless replacement. Unknowns remain visible. Keep different editions separately and review uncertain comparisons. File measurements cannot establish a better master or lossless authenticity. Filing does not convert audio.
- Retain the complete previous album: Explicitly replacing a reviewed album retains its full previous edition, including companions and layout. The Previous album retention in days field starts at 30 and can be changed for that operation; unresolved recovery can extend retention. Undo Upgrade requires both the current destination album and retained previous edition to remain unchanged. Confirm Restore Previous Edition to proceed; changed or unverifiable material can hold recovery. Per-write Press backups remain separately controlled in Settings → Pressing.
- Continue saved work deliberately: Reopen New Arrivals to review saved progress and choose Resume for pending work. Changed or unverifiable material can keep work held for review.
New Arrivals targets supported local and external folder destinations. Keep an independent backup of important collections.
